SMSTool upcoming features

Posted in Application, Development, iPhone by srkode on April 14, 2009

Well! now that the SMSTool 1.2 is released on Cydia and the response to it has been great.

I am thinking of a few more features to add to it:

  • Sending Contact info via SMS/Mail
  • Showing a character counter for length of message
  • Add a backup button to save all messages/templates/notes to file and send it as an attachment to a mail

Any more ideas?

    Hi,
It’s a really nice app, if you plan to add foreign languages we can help you for French translation.

We did a quick review on SOSiphone’s Blog
    http://www.sosiphone.com/blogiphone/2009/04/18/smstool-gestionnaire-avance-de-sms/

Tested with QuickSMS and iSmartDialer on iPhone 2.2.1 with French settings and no trouble.

    VERY GOOD !

I will add foreign language support in the next update.

Let me see what all need to be translated.

Can I ask for a new function “Mark as Unread” please?

I often use my wife’s phone and if a text comes in, I will dismiss it to clear the screen. Unfortunately if I forget to tell her about it she’d probably never realised she had a new text.

It’s also handy to set a text’s status as unread as a form of reminder.

    Thanks!

I sometimes face the same issue. I think Mark as Unread should work. But then there is a possibility of corrupting the unread count of the sms db.

      Need to explore further….

Can you make function that allows us to send x time the same sms to the same person.

If you wanna send ten time the same sms, like “i love u” to your girlfriend.

    It would be great
